MARKETING

History

The Department of Marketing was established in 1972 with the establishment of Karaganda state University. The original name of the Department was “Economics and logistics planning”.

The founder of the Department was candidate of technical sciences, associate Professor Sagindykov Urzhan  Sagyndykovich.

In 2002, due to the increased volume of teaching load, the Department was divided into the Department of “Marketing” and “Management”.

Currently, the Department manages candidate of economic Sciences, associate Professor Mamraeva Dinara Gabitova.

To date, the faculty of the Department of marketing has 21 people, including 15 full-time teachers. The Department is 50% settled.

Since the introduction of the national rating of educational programs among the countries Universities, the top three departments have consistently included the following departments: “Marketing”, “Tourism”,”logistics (by industry), “Restaurant and hotel business”.

Students of the Department’s specialties are multiple winners of national and international student subject Olympiads, laureates of scientific competitions and conferences.

The Department works closely with the business environment, has 2 branches of the Department. Representatives of business structures participate in the formation of curricula of specialties, provide places of practice, conduct lectures and practical classes, review theses and master’s theses of graduates.

The Department cooperates closely with many foreign Kazakh Universities, such as the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), the University Of Economics of Katowice (Poland), the University Of Economics of Prague (Czech Republic), Minho University (Portugal), Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia), Omsk state University named after F. M. Dostoevsky, etc.

The Department “Marketing” supports extensive international contacts on the exchange of experience and cooperation in the field of research and educational activities with leading universities and research institutes of Kazakhstan and CIS countries, in particular, the Moscow State University. named after M. Lomonosov, Orenburg and Kurgan State Universities, with the Ural State Economic University, the Moscow Institute. Chernivtsi, Kiev, and Donetsk State Universities, the Institute of Economics of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Samarkand Cooperative Institute, KazNU. Al-Farabi, the University of Narkhoz, the Kazakh Academy of Tourism and Sports, and others.

Science and innovations

Academic teaching staff (hereinafter referred to as ATS) of the Academic Chair of Marketing on a regular basis carries out research work in accordance with the Strategic Plan of Karagandy State University up to 2020.

Twenty two (22) teachers work at the Academic Chair of Marketing, five (5) of them are Candidates of Sciences (R.Yaushev, T.Smayilov, S.Bazarova, B. Mukanov, Z.Arynova), three (3) of them are Doctors of Economics (Z.Shaekina, A.Saduov, A.Tleuberdinova) and one Ph.D (A.Amerkhanova). The academic degree holders rate is 100% (taking into account the Masters of Science).

In 2017, the ATS of the Academic Chair of Marketing had published fifty (50) scientific and academic works. The ATS of the Academic Chairhad issued three (3) monographs, one (1) textbook, (five) 5 teaching aids:

For the purposes to realize the objectives of the higher school, the ATSof the academic chair takes an active part in various competitions in the field of scientific research conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, the Master of EconomicSciences, the Senior Lecturer of the academic chair of Marketing, Dana MadievnaUssenova became the recipient of the republican grant “The Best Lecturer of the University – 2016”.

In accordance with the Letter of the Director of the Department of Higher and Post-Graduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, D. Ahmed-Zaki dated March 03, 2017 at the Faculty of Economics, KarSU named after E.A. Buketov during the period from the 19’th to the 21’st of April, 2017 the Republican Student Skills Competition for Tourism for Students of State and Non-State Universities Nine, as well as the Republican Student Skills Competition for Social and Cultural Services for Students of State and Non-State Universities Nine had been held. ThestudentsofKarSUhad hit medal places inteamandindividualscores.

For the purpose of in-depth study and consolidation of knowledge on a regular basis, seminars are held on various topics within the scientific clubwith the participation of the ATS and students of the academic chair of Marketing.

Students and undergraduates under the guidance of the ATS of the academic chair of Marketing take part in regional, national, and international scientific and practical conferences on various topics, and hit medal places.






Educational work

The curators of the academic groups hold monthly curatorial hours devoted to moral, moral, cultural, aesthetic and ethno-cultural education. Every year at the beginning of the academic year, students visit the museum of the Y.A.Buketov KarSU.

At the same time, the faculty (department) actively participates in such cultural events as “Dedication to Students”, “Faculty Day”.

01/09/2016. – Teachers and 1st year students participated in the celebration of the Day of Knowledge in the square “Zhastar Alany”.

01/09/2016. at 11:00 – the students of our faculty, together with the curators, listened to the lecture of the rector of the Y.A.Buketov KarSU.

23.09.2016. at 12.00 – the holding of a tourist competition dedicated to the International Day of Tourism, prepared by the team of the Department Marketing

27.10.2016. at 15.00. – carrying out of the event “Day of the Department Marketing”. Venue main hall sports hall of the Y.A.Buketov KarSU.

08.11. 2016. at 14.00. – a jubilee evening dedicated to the 80th birthday of Professor of Marketing Smailov Toleugazy Khassenovich

06.12.2016. at 15.30h. – an open lesson dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by the senior teacher Ussenova D.M. together with supervised academic groups under the slogan “The Faith of the President – the Faith of the People”.

08.12.2016. at 16.00. – a celebratory event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which took place in the dormitory No. 3

26.12.2016. at 16.00 – the staff of the Department of Marketing visited the Children’s Home “Tansholpan” for charitable purposes.
